  • Is not conducted at a workplace
  • Is not conducted in relation to a building
  • Is for an asbestos laboratory (e.g., if you are an air sampling technician)
  • Involves limited disturbance and handling of asbestos-containing materials when it is necessary to perform work in your trade (e.g., electrician, plumber, flooring contractor, painter, roofer, HVAC technician, elevator technician)

You need a certificate for Level 2: Asbestos Safety.
